What Still Works Offline
Most study features don't depend on a connection. Here is how each one behaves when you are offline.

Storage & Performance
Local models are the only large footprint, and you can delete them any time.
Study data
Usually a few dozen MB, growing with articles and subtitles. Clear the cache any time.
Local models
Anywhere from a few hundred MB to several GB. Model Center shows each model's size.
Performance Mode
Reduces inference frequency when the battery is low, and restores it once plugged in.
Where Your Data Lives
- Study data is stored in the app sandbox by default
- Cloud credentials are kept in the system keychain
- Cloud requests carry only that request's content and are never used for training
- Export everything to a local file in one click

Download a local model in Model Center and turn off cloud calls in Settings, and the app runs entirely offline.
